Hi, I'm Amelia! I'm a full time student and beauty blogger living and working in the Southeast United States. I'm originally from England and hoping to move back to the UK soon. I'm an absolute beauty junkie (not helped by the fact that I work at a Cosmetics Company Store) and Harry Potter fanatic. If you want to get to know me better, you can read this post.

Naked 2

Okay, so I'm about to confess un unpopular opinion; I don't like the Naked 3 palette. Oops. I just think that all those pinky colors are not going to be flattering for me and I will never use them. Unpopular opinion numero dos; I actually like the Naked 2 palette more than the third. So, with the money I got from my family for Christmas, I bought it.
I was originally going to Ulta to pick up the Lorac Pro palette, but lo and behold, they were out, and I was very sad. So, unable to wait or control myself in the slightest, I snatched up the Naked 2 palette and brought it home with me. And I'm so glad I did. For some reason, this palette doesn't have great reviews. I'm slightly unsure as to why this one got no love and the Naked 3 is being raved about. To me, the shades in 3 are far too pink toned to work for most people, and some of the shades are glittery and bad quality. While I love the shade Blackheart, the others in the palette seem lackluster in comparison. I adored the first palette, but the colors are very warm toned which isn't the most flattering on my skin. I think that the Naked 2 palette is so universally flattering with the taupe-y shades and much more wearable for every day. The shades are matte and frosted versus the crazy glittery shades in the other two and I just think it's much more worth the $52 Urban Decay charges. Now, I've only used this once so I can't really give a proper in depth review, but from what I've seen, this is my new favorite palette, I wore Snakebite, Suspect, Busted, and Blackout today. I worked for 10 hours and they didn't budge. I did also use my UD Primer Potion just to be sure. As a first impression though, I love the choice in shades and how well each of these shades comes across on the skin.

In love!
x

Christmas Eve!

Alright lovelies, it's the most exciting night of the year Christmas Eve! I'm all cuddled up in my new pajamas and surprisingly, I am absolutely exhausted. Usually, this is the night that I'm up until all hours because I am far too excited to go to sleep. While I am still uber-excited, it's not even ten o'clock and my eyes are drooping. So, maybe this is the first Christmas that I will actually get more than 5 hours of sleep before! Goodnight my dears, let their be visions of sugarplums in your dreams

Amelia Says...

I think that it might be time to give my little bloggy another go. You see, I'm just about to finish my first semester of college, therefore, blogging and YouTube have taken a rather large step back in terms of importance. But, it is almost winter holidays, which means an entire month with no school (albeit lots of work eek)! So, let's see if I can actually keep up with this. Maybe I'll try a once a week goal. The problem is, you see, that I hardly ever buy new makeup anymore (broke college student here) so content on the blog may become slightly unrelated. But, how about we just see what happens?

Giving Clinique Another Try

If you're just finding this blog without knowing about my YouTube channel, then you wouldn't know, but I've had some trouble with Clinique. Obviously, I'm a teenager, so spending money on expensive products is not something I enjoy exactly. But, I decided to splurge on a Clinique product once upon a time, a rather long time ago. It was a pore-minimizer that I forget the exact name of, but it came in a purple tube. I used it a few times and began breaking out like crazy. Now, I'm someone who VERY rarely suffers from acne, so you can probably imagine that I freaked out when this happened. And I never bought another Clinique product again...

Until I walked into the CCO a few months back and saw a little set of products for $7.50. Naturally, I had to grab it, because who can resist that kind of bargain? Now, I only picked it up because I had been wanting to try All About Eyes, which was included in the set. It also came with a mascara, and one of the makeup removers, but these products didn't really stand out. I am, however actually liking All About Eyes and Superdefense moisturizer. I'm the kind of person who's really bad at keeping up with skincare, but these products are so easy. The eye cream is smooth and has that silicone-y feel, and keeps my under-eye area looking fresh as a daisy, so I'm loving it. The moisturizer looks thick in the jar but is actually super thin and goes a very long way. It has been keeping my face moisturized through this awful summer heat and a terrible sunburn, so it gets a gold star. Overall, maybe Clinique might not be all that bad, I mean these haven't broken me out and I've been using them for a few months now!

What brands have you sworn off of? And are you interested in trying again?
